iOS 5.1.1 out; contains security fixes

Apple has released iOS 5.1.1 to its Apple users.

Connect to your PC/MAC or go into settings –> General —> Software update.

It contains the following fixes;

• Improves reliability of using HDR option for photos taken using the Lock Screen shortcut
• Addresses bugs that could prevent the new iPad from switching between 2G and 3G networks
• Fixes bugs that affected AirPlay video playback in some circumstances
• Improved reliability for syncing Safari bookmarks and Reading List
• Fixes an issue where ‘Unable to purchase’ alert could be displayed after successful purchase

PSA: Guard Against/Remove/Detect flashback/flashfake mac malware

Unfortunately the world has got to the point where needing security software is advised.

One of them is flashback aka flash fake malware that is currently hitting macs at an alarming rate. So far 600,000 macs have been detected as infected by the fake flash codec trojan.
