Apple has done an extremely odd move today, it for once has completely broken its secrecy to a main event.
Normally Apple events are deep secrets until the event but not this time.

Opera has released Opera Mini 6 for iPod Touch, iPhone, and iPad.
Whats new in Opera mini 6 is a new interface, full iPad support, retina display support for iPhone, and other enhancements.
Opera has released a demo video of Opera Mini 6 for Apple’s iOS;
Opera Mini 6 was fully able to handle 10 open tabs at once on my iPod Touch 3rd generation, quite impressive.

Well the news of Apple store 2.0 may also apply to its online store.
Apple has taken down its online store until May 22nd. Which means that there probably is going to be huge changes.
No product launches are expected but more internal Apple changes.
Rumors speculate all Apple employees will get iPad 2′s to use and to take orders.
We shall know in 2 days time.

There have been reports of independent developers getting patent infringement warnings via Fed Ex.
It appears the threatening of lawsuits over a patent that regards the exchange of usage data between customer and seller.
Also noted it seems is that the firm is suing independent firms that use Apples In-App Purchasing tool and not Apple itself.
I find it weird but also cowardly to attack developers who make apps rather than the company that may be violating their patents.
It’s also weird to note that there is no legal protected in Canada or the states for developers who may have this kind of problems.

Apple has released iOS 4.3.3.
The most important reason is that the “location tracking bug” is fixed.
The update includes fixes to encrypt the location data cache, no longer sync it with iTunes, and delete it if it’s turned off.
Its available for iPad 2, iPad, iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPod Touch 3rd Gen, iPod Touch 4th Gen.

Apple has officially responded on the “Apple is tracking me” fiasco.
Apple’s official response is…we are not tracking your location, just collecting data for a database.
3. Why is my iPhone logging my location?
The iPhone is not logging your location. Rather, it’s maintaining a database of Wi-Fi hotspots and cell towers around your current location, some of which may be located more than one hundred miles away from your iPhone, to help your iPhone rapidly and accurately calculate its location when requested. Calculating a phone’s location using just GPS satellite data can take up to several minutes. iPhone can reduce this time to just a few seconds by using Wi-Fi hotspot and cell tower data to quickly find GPS satellites, and even triangulate its location using just Wi-Fi hotspot and cell tower data when GPS is not available (such as indoors or in basements). These calculations are performed live on the iPhone using a crowd-sourced database of Wi-Fi hotspot and cell tower data that is generated by tens of millions of iPhones sending the geo-tagged locations of nearby Wi-Fi hotspots and cell towers in an anonymous and encrypted form to Apple.
So Apple is changing a lot of things in an upcoming iOS update such as;
So basically Apple still “track” you but much more nicely Apple says that this “crowd-sourcing” is for traffic data coming soon.
But make sure to read the full article Apple has provided here.

Everyone is up in arms about a new “feature” found in the iPhone/iPad 3G.
What’s the whole issue? There is a file called “consolidated.db”.
The database file stores a detailed log of the GPS movements that is used in maps or etc.
Why is this such an issue? Because now that the database is discovered people will be able to hack into your phone and see where you’ve been right?

Apple may or may not be releasing iOS 4.3.2 soon.
Rumors speculate that iOS 4.3.2 will fix the Verizon iPad 2 issues, Facetime issues, security vulnerability, and other things.
Hopefully this is the case, and hopefully the update comes out soon since alot of people are effected by the bugs in the current software version of the iPad 2.
