The app store from Apple is showing no sign of slowing down.
In just over 3 months the app downloads went from 2 billion to 3 billion total.
With the app store for iPhone/iPod touch breaking another milestone.
So while it is now really picking up steam before the Nexius One from Google arrives Steve Jobs had this to say:
“Three billion applications downloaded in less than 18 months–this is like nothing we’ve ever seen before. The revolutionary App Store offers iPhone and iPod touch users an experience unlike anything else available on other mobile devices, and we see no signs of the competition catching up anytime soon.” -Tech Crunch
I have contributed to well over 300 of that total, but I only use about 30 apps, so at this point the 100,000 apps don’t matter but just how many people use it.
