WordPress has recently received a new feature image editing.
New users will not know how to do this so I have made a video on how to edit an image easily in WordPress.

For those who can’t view video here is a text description.
- Either from media, or from the uploaded image tool select the image.
- Click on edit image.
- Note: Crop is auto selected.
- Edit the image as necessary (rotate, crop etc).
- For cropping you need to drag your mouse over the area you want to edit.
- Then click on the crop icon.
- Then click on save.
- The edited image will be saved.
The process is the same for self hosted word press blogs, or blogs at wordpress.com
Note: After an image is inserted into a post it cannot be edited. You have to remove the image, then go the insert image, media library, select the image, and then edit it.
Good post, so many people don’t bother to edit pics etc, just goes to show how easy it is!

This new feature saves me about a minute for every pic I upload. Being able to skip using another app for basic image editing is a big help!

Well it just got added so it is hard to miss

This new image editor is crap compared to the Scissors plugin.
No watermarks, no saved image sizes / ratios, and a step backwards.
The images sizes are kept actually, and 4 different thumbnail versions of each.
