Have you heard about the latest twitter related site Twixxo?

If you haven’t, it’s a great site to boost your twitter experience.

Why?

Well here is a few cool features;

1. You can tell how many mutual friends you have (you follow each other).
2. You can find people to follow based on your location.
3. The interface allows you to see your tweets coming in, and your mentions. This saves time going back and forth to each other.
4. The built-in photo album allows you to share your photos. <— It’s only viewable to fellow Twixxo members naturally.
5. You can search tweets by twitter members nearby, or Twixxo members.
6. It’s basic theme is uncluttered so it loads fast, and is easy to use.
7. Not limited to API limits.
8. You can type more then 140 characters. If you go over you will get a link to twixxo to continue the message.

Things that should be added;

1. No trending topics, or search all users in any location (like the default twitter).
2. No retweet unless you are viewing their page.

Overall its a very nice local version of twitter. While there is no multi-twitter logins, or auto follow, or any of the business stuff from the other websites its nice that there is a easy to use local version, so you don’t get distracted.
