Google today revealed the Chrome OS. It was running on a Eee PC (netbook). The Chrome OS appears to be running in the cloud which means that if you had a hardware failure you could just replace the computer. This also allows seemless transitions from one computer to another.

Chrome OS looks like it’s based of a Linux architecture. The layout mirrors the Chrome browser with  extra tabs at the left dedicated to opening, finding, and managing apps. As usual the OS has been simplified so you don’t have to work through sub-menus or poor window layouts. Since its Open Source it will be quickly highly adapted to different hardware.  As soon as its been widely adapted and is out we will have a review on it. Currently its only open to developers.

I disagree I don’t think it has Microsoft scared. Because Chrome OS is designed for netbooks, and MUST run on there hardware in there planning. Although VMware images have been leaked and people are oddling them up. Windows will still be on top at least due to gamers, companys that will not switch, and people who could care less.
