App store is banned for some.
Apple has recently changed the way its approved apps by now allowing developers to see the stage of the app progress in the store. But is it to late?
As the developer who made Facebook for the app store pulled, and now so has Rogue Amoeba. The Facebook dev (the app is under a new dev now) quit because it took such a long time to be approved. Rouge Amoeba says that they had to wait 3 months to get their app approved after they removed Apple’s logo from the app. Whats really stupid is that it was just a bug fix and not a new app. They will rarely update the app, and have moved back to making apps for the mac. As a result they have quit the app store because of the length of the app approval process, and the frustration that follows. Many people are now calling Apple the gate keeper of apps.
So is the approval process although now highlighted just a sign that the 100,000 apps will be the high? Since 2 have quit this could very well sent devs to android because there is no approval process. Who knows we could very well see a large quit frenzy from the app store soon. It looks like the app store honey moon is over, and the iPhone is starting to get some serious aging marks.

There will always be plenty of iPhone app developers, even if these two go away. Sure, the frenzy of developers has to slow down because it's too competitive right now but IMO, the iPhone will be king of the third-party apps for a very long time.
