Google Is On A Buying Spree: Buys AdMob, and Gizmo5

November 9th, 2009 by dreamsburnred Leave a reply »

Hmm it seems that today is the day for buyouts.

As Google has purchased the mobile ad platform AdMob for $750 USD, and Gizmo5 for $30 million for its google talk.

This allows Google too much more ad inventory, and cheaper rates for Google talk.

Google is highly aware of the extreme surge in mobile users, so as such it has reacted with 2 mobile based purchases.

These buyouts means Google will be very much the leader in the mobile department.

So is $780 million dollars worth it? Yes, as it puts itself higher in the mobile app space, and it steals another for its Google talk from Skype.

Well played Google well played.
