A recent developer build of Mac OS X 10.6.2 has reportedly removed support for Intel Atom, and Hackintosh clients.
This will be just like Apple constantly removing support for the palm pre via iTunes.
If you haven’t noticed Apple is trying to make it clear. They don’t want non-apple hardware running.
Intel Atom if you are wondering is mostly used by people with netbooks, and the MSI which can install and run from mac os x unofficially.
The other side of the spectrum is that it will remove support for all non-apple hardware computers. Namely Pistar and “hackintoshes’ which are modded PC’s to run Mac OS X.
But just like how Apple locked out modded iPhones, just this week the mods for the iPhone are expected to rehack the iPhone.
So really Apple…your losing the fight. Quit trying to DRM the world.

I agree. Apple should allow this, perhaps not support or encourage it, but why bother to issue orders that you can’t enforce?
They should be proud and point out no one is trying to hack a Macintosh to run Windows. It isn’t just because of the price, either. A lot of PC owners would love to have the style and quality present in Apple products. That’s why the one one hand, sneer at it, and on the other try to emulate it.
