Apple once again removes ZFS support

25 Oct

Apple added support for sun’s ZFS file system to snow leopard.

Just before it could be useful it gets dumped.

ZFS is an open source file system, with 128-bit, and is intended for Solaris.

This is because of to many lawsuits against apple and sun over the file system.

It’s unknown if the file system will continue on at all, or if IT managers will just remember it as the file system that could never be.
