Looks like apple really hates you cracking your iPhone 3GS from its original firmware.
So much so its modified the bootrom to prevent the device from using any other firmware other than apple approved.
Either its trying to keep the user experience apple, or because apple is losing in the app store due to cracked iPhone’s and iPod touches which are unable to use the store.
Which usually have a free alternative.
I do not condone jailbreaking of any device for any reason so its nice to see apple get in charge with it.
Although this could very well lead to upgrade problems later.
I love my iPhone so I'm afraid to do any crazy hacks on it. My consoles, on the other hand…
